William Duckworth and Nora Farrell are the creative vision behind The Cathedral Project's Orpheus Trilogy, a two-year unfolding of podcasts, live stage performances, and public art in the streets.
Since the mid 1990's, they have been exploring the artistic potential of the Internet, with a focus on community music making, generative expression and extended composition.
Duckworth and Farrell maintain a regular touring schedule with the Cathedral Band that has taken them to Japan, Australia, Seattle, Phoenix and NYC, and conduct workshops and artist residencies around the globe.
In 2001, they mounted a continuous 48-hour webcast with 34 performances from 5 continents. They regularly collaborate with video artists, poets, programmers and musicians in mounting these large-scale multimedia works.
The Cathedral Project's latest work, The iPod Opera 2.0 (2006-2007), is available as 26 video podcasts at http://cathedral.monroestreet.com/rss/ipo204.xml.
